CADE Cabildo moves forward in strengthening opportunities for technical-professional students

The third meeting of the Advisory Council for Technical and Professional Student Development in the municipality (CADE) was held on Wednesday, June 25, with the active participation of Las Cenizas Mining Group Cabildo. The purpose of this council is to address issues related to training and employment opportunities for students in secondary and higher technical education institutions.

The event was attended by Paulina Sáez, executive director of the Local Public Education Service (SLEP), accompanied by her team of professionals. This state entity, which commenced operations in the province and region a few months ago, has been entrusted with the mission of administering public education, thereby assuming a role that previously corresponded to the municipalities.

The meeting was attended by representatives from CFT PUCV Peñablanca, teachers from the Technical Mining School, Minera La Patagua, the head of Community Relations at Las Cenizas Mining Group, Andrea Ibarbe, and the Community Coordinator at our site, Dannae Cataldo.

It is important to note that CADE was established in 2024 with the objective of enhancing technical training at the school level. The organization facilitates collaborative initiatives between educational institutions and the productive sector. In this regard, companies play a pivotal role in facilitating learning opportunities in the field, professional internships, and concrete opportunities for entry into the workforce.
