The Cabildo Advisory Council for Technical and Professional Student Development (CADE) held a new meeting to address issues concerning training and employment opportunities for students in secondary and higher technical education institutions.
CADE was established in 2024 with the aim of strengthening technical training in schools, coordinating joint efforts between educational institutions and the productive sector. In this context, companies play a key role in facilitating learning opportunities in the field, professional internships, and concrete opportunities for entry into the workforce.
The meeting was attended by representatives from CFT PUCV Peñablanca, teachers from the Technical Mining School, representatives from Minera La Patagua and Las Cenizas Mining Group Cabildo, the head of Community Relations, Andrea Ibarbe, and the Community Coordinator, Dannae Cataldo. A representative from the Local Public Education Service (SLEP) also attended. This entity was established in the province and region a few months ago with the aim of administering public education, replacing the municipalities in this role.
